What is the CSE Award?
The CSE Award is an acknowledgement that rewards companies taking part in MIDO that have made product sustainability one of the key points of their corporate strategy.
Recycling of materials, reduction of consumption in production and distribution processes, enhancement of the supply chain, elimination of waste, degree of recyclability, use of renewable energy, and any certifications already held are some of the criteria that the jury will use to decide the winners.
Prize Categories
The CSE Award is open to three product categories. For each, two companies are awarded: one for Europe and one for the rest of the world, for a total of six awards given.

The products proposed by candidates for the award must already be realised. Design ideas, in the study phase or prototypes are not accepted.
How the CSE Award winners are chosen
The CSE award jury uses several criteria to choose the winners. These criteria include recycling, consumption reduction, supply chain enhancement, waste elimination, recyclability, renewable energy and certifications already held.
How to participate in the CSE Award
To participate in the CSE Award you must be an exhibitor at MIDO. Candidating your product is easy: all you have to do is access the reserved area for Exhibitors on the MIDO website, enter the section dedicated to the CSE Award, enter and fill in all the required information for each candidate product no later than the deadline indicated in the regulations. Selection Criteria
The candidate products will be evaluated by the CSE Award jury, which will assess whether they meet the requirements and sustainability criteria set out in the regulations.
Additional qualifying elements such as the degree of innovation, originality and the ability to communicate the value of sustainability to the public will also be considered.
Who came up with the CSE Award
The CSE Award was conceived and promoted by MIDO in collaboration with ANFAO and Certottica. The award is part of the CSE programme - Certified Sustainable Eyewear, the sustainability certification label that aims to promote demand and supply of sustainable products in the eyewear sector.
